It. Has. Been. A. Minute!
Retreats, property viewings, and podcast interviews - that pretty much sums up my June so far!
So this month we held the very first Beauty Business Retreat. Lets get into it.
I named it the RESET Retreat - I like it, and so did everyone else, so it stays - moving forward, all Beauty Boss Business retreats will be 'Reset Retreats'.
To give you an idea on why we feel 'Reset' feels very aligned with our retreat mission, this is what we had our ladies do in Marbella:
✔️ Brain Dump - Using the Retreat Workbooks, all attendees were asked to rate their business alignment, and personal happiness between 1-10... this alone stirred up lots of emotions.
I created space to brain dump on both paper, and amongst each other. I asked what they hope to be launching/doing in the future. We had everything from re-branding, to learning how to better manage finances, to finding work-life balance, to delegating to teams, to transitioning online, and LOTS more!
✔️ Reset From The Roots - Over to our first guest speaker, Mindset Coach Emma Wright, AKA BusinessMamaUK. We all know that the mind is the root of EVERYTHING we do in our adult life. So we had to go 'there'...
✔️ Body Check - It's not just about the mind, but also about the body. So we made sure we included the opportunity for our ladies to check out, so they could 'check in' with their nervous system. To do this, we organised a very well known local masseuse in Marbella, to come and give each lady a full body Balinese massage. We also organised for a wellness specialist to come and deliver a session of yoga on the rooftop of the villa - this session ended with lavender eye masks, allowing room to lie there and just 'be' - we then ended this 'pinch me moment' (2 of our ladies words not mine!), with a cup of Ayurvedic tea.
✔️ Who Is She? - I asked all ladies to visualise the next version of 'her'. I wanted everyone to get really intentional with what they wanted next out of their career.
It's easy to say what you want next, but I wanted the ladies to think hard about how to bring her to life. This involved getting intentional with how it would make them FEEL becoming someone new; what actions need to be taken, and what new set of boundaries are required.
In Summary: The Reset Retreat was unbelievable. The kind of realignment that you can't get from a podcast, or network event, and only from being on a retreat.
I wanted my first retreat to be the type of experience that reminds you exactly who you are, and what you're capable of - and honestly, I feel like that mission was accomplished. The way the energy shifted in such a short space of time; I'm not sure how myself and the team can make the next one better than the Marbella Retreat, but I'll give it a damn good try! - it was SO good!
Since I returned home from Marbella, I've taken some time off socials, and email.
I needed time to reset myself! I have been away so much recently, and the first week back was quite an emotional one for me - the aftermath of the retreat alone required some decompressing, and then it was the last day of school for my daughter, Amira - it was an emotional week!
I'm not going anywhere for a while now, and honestly, I'm grateful for the rest.
